Imagine a twelfth-century peasant: illiterate, unscientific, and steeped in superstition. Now imagine handing that person the reins of public health policy in the 21st century. That, alarmingly, is where we find ourselves.
It's hard to think of anyone less qualified to such a role than RFK, a man known for spreading lies and disinformation based on thoroughly debunked claims about vaccinations. A man whom the medical community widely decried as entirely unsuitable.
He has had an active role in exacerbating the measles outbreak in Texas. A man who continues to push provably false notions of a link between autism and vaccinations.
Not content with that, he wants to roll-back one of the most successful public health interventions that has drastically improved rates of tooth decay by pushing to remove fluoride from drinking water.
These are not harmless eccentricities. They are dangerous positions that undermine decades of public health progress.
This is now the man in charge if public health in the US. A man more prone to support baseless conspiracy theories over hard science. A total fucking idiot.
It's not clear if Bobby is just utterly stupid (probably) or plain evil (also likely). What is clear, however, is that placing him in charge of public health represents a reckless gamble with real human consequences.
And who put this total clown in charge of public health? The circus leader of course, King Don.
Even if you're a MAGA supporter, somehow convinced that Donny and his loyal circus clowns are actually well-intentioned, you might (read should) have a few alarm bells ringing when it comes to RFK.
