Trump pressures Attorney General Pam Bondi to expedite investigations into political adversaries.

Demented Donny is losing his marbles. Donny has never been a smart man but even I would concede he was considerably more 'switched on' only a few years ago.

Now he's at the stage when he should be put in a care home. He obviously can't use his own phone let alone run a country.

So it's only in the collapsing circus tent of American democracy that a sitting president address a public social media post directly to the Attorney General of the United States as though he were dictating a grocery list. In a “Truth” that sounded less like policy and more like a mob boss memo, Donny demanded Pam Bondi speed up prosecutions of his enemies — James Comey, Letitia James, the usual rogues’ gallery of people whom Donny has a grievance with.

Let’s pause here: the President of the United States just publicly tagged his own AG in a command to punish his political rivals. Did the dotard even realise what he was doing? Or was he too busy congratulating himself on the capital letters?

For anyone else in years gone by this would be the end of their careers. Christ, if Biden had done this the media would have had a field day for weeks on end. I mean this is to say nothing about the fact he's so openly and brazenly talking about settling personal grievances with by weaponizing the state against his enemies.

And why hasn't Pam had them all sentenced to life behind bars yet? because, as she knows damn well, they haven't actually committed any crimes.

The Department of Just-Us

Of course, Pam Bondi isn’t some hapless bureaucrat. She was chosen precisely because she’d treat the DOJ like Donny’s personal revenge machine. “Justice has been delayed,” he whined, which in reality means, “Why aren’t my critics in handcuffs yet, Pam?” Forget impartiality. Forget constitutional boundaries. The Department of Justice is now the Department of Just-Us, where the only cases that move forward are the ones on Donny’s enemies list.

The Halligan Hire: Loyalty Over Law

To cement the farce, The Don nominated Lindsey Halligan, one of his longtime legal bodyguards, as U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. Erik Siebert, the actual professional who wouldn’t railroad Letitia James, was shoved aside to make room. Halligan’s main qualification? Absolute fealty to the Mad King.

Bipartisan Reality Check

Even Rand Paul, usually a reliable apologist, squirmed enough to denounce “political prosecutions.” Chris Murphy sounded the alarms about authoritarianism. And Chuck Schumer, in his best dramatic mode, warned Donny was “acting like a dictator.” When Rand Paul and Chuck Schumer are essentially saying the same thing, you know the situation is beyond insane.

The Pattern of Madness

Combine this with fresh restrictions on Pentagon reporters, the FCC’s looming threats against Jimmy Kimmel, and Donny’s endless lawsuits against the press, and you see the pattern: he wants absolute control of information, absolute loyalty from prosecutors, and absolute silence from critics.

But it’s the Bondi post that really crystallises the madness. It wasn’t whispered in a back room. It wasn’t hinted in code. It was a public command from a president to his AG to destroy political enemies. Out in the open. Shameless. Barely even aware of how authoritarian it looks — or perhaps worse, fully aware and proud of it.

Friends with Benefits: The Homan Hustle

White House border czar Tom Homan - yes, the same guy who spent years snarling about “law and order” while running ICE like a medieval dungeon — was caught on tape last year allegedly taking $50,000 in cash from undercover agents posing as execs seeking government contracts. Hidden cameras, bags of money, the works. A textbook sting.

Any normal administration would have a perp walk. Instead, under Donny’s watch, the whole case was quietly … disappeared.

The Vanishing Act

Federal law enforcement opened the investigation, ran the sting, had the receipts — then the DOJ decided there was “no credible evidence.” That’s right: taking a fat envelope of cash on tape is apparently not credible evidence anymore. Unless, of course, you happen to be one of The Don’s most loyal enforcers.

This wasn’t some idle rumor. It was captured in September 2024, hidden cameras rolling, with Homan reportedly assuring the fake execs he could help secure contracts. The plan was to wait and see if he delivered. Instead, the plug got pulled, the file stamped “politically motivated,” and everyone sent home.

Crime and No Punishment

The Mad King’s crew now insists this was just another Biden-era witch hunt, a smear job, a distraction. They even trotted out the FBI Director and Deputy AG to solemnly declare Homan squeaky clean. And just like that, the clearest evidence of bribery since ABSCAM goes up in smoke.

Meanwhile, the man himself keeps his cushy job as border czar, helping run Donny’s deportation machine, while the rest of us are supposed to pretend none of this ever happened.

The Real Lesson

If you’re part of Trumpworld, you can:

  • Accept envelopes of cash on hidden camera.
  • Get investigated by federal law enforcement.
  • Have the entire case scrubbed from existence.
  • Walk away not just free, but still in power.

Homan’s case isn’t an anomaly. It’s a template. The rules don’t apply to the Mad King’s allies — only to his enemies. And that’s how democracy rots: one “disappeared” scandal at a time.
