Positioned as a a futuristic initiative aimed at countering advanced aerial threats, including ballistic and cruise missiles it's projected to cost $25 billion initially, with total expenses potentially reaching $175 billion over time.
Musk is looking like he'll get his return on his investment though, as he's set to make shit tonne in federal contracts. Funny how that works.
No one even thinks it'll ever actually get built, let alone work. But not before billions has been pocketed and Donny's had his day show casing some bull shit defense system.
